It was also around this time, that a vibrant, very excitable 8 year old girl from Essex named Sophia Grace became an internet sensation after her rendition of Nicki Minaj’s ‘Super Bass’ went viral, catching the attention of Ellen DeGeneres.

Well, fast forward 8 years and Miss Sophie Grace is all grown up – and ready to show the world just what she’s capable of!

Following on from the release of her last single ‘Can’t Sleep’ Sophia has team up with Drill rapper #MostWanted Sav on the track ‘My Zone’.

Produced by Bridge, and mixed by Tweeko, the collaboration is further indication that this is a young woman, an artist, coming into her own, calling the shots and taking control.

“It’s been a privilege to work with in my opinion one of the top Drill rappers at present.” Sophia Grace says.

“When I got a DM from Sav asking to work together I was shocked and excited as I’m not from the Drill scene, but I’m trying different genres of music and experimenting with different sounds.”

“I’m a huge fan of the music coming out of London at the moment and it’s a really exciting time for UK artists, I’m hoping to collaborate with other artists in the future so watch this space… I heard Drake is a big fan of the UK scene right now so I hope he hears this track, I think he would respect this kind of sound.”

With a contemporary yet underground sound, the atmospheric, urban flavoured track is a real mood – with its staccato beats and pulsating baseline creating a hypnotising trance like rhythm, that hooks you in on the very first listen.

It’s experimental – dark yet alluring, effortlessly cool and undeniably fresh.

There’s a genuine and authentic chemistry between Sav and Sophia Grace (who delivers a confident, crystal-clear vocal), that doesn’t feel forced or contrived. They may come from two completely different worlds musically, but their voices and vocal stylings complement one another perfectly.
